Are there opportunities for promotion or advancement within JET?
There are opportunities for promotion. We have Driver Captains, they are couriers that were promoted based on their performance and soft skills and they help with the onboarding of new hirees, some extra work around the office and they keep an eye on the couriers during their shifts. Moreover, almost all of the hub coordinators were the Driver Captains before.
Do the couriers get trainings at JET?
The newcomers will use an online training platform called CLX, where the trainee will learn all of the details and rules before coming to the first shift.
How is the work atmosphere at JET?
Relaxed, non formal but professional. People are open to come by the office for a talk and a coffee everytime they want and we even organize events where everyone has a chance to socialise and go for some drinks together.
Are there any social events, such as team gatherings or staff parties organized by JET?
Yes. One time per 2 months we organize get togethers with couriers at the bars, we have pizza evenings, chess events, online games and they have a Tradler app where they can win vouchers for doing great work.
Could you outline a typical workday for a courier at JET?
A typical workday for a courier would be to get ready for their shifts by checking the weather and any announcements that we might have sent through our discord server. Get their Thuisbezorgd gear and be on their way to one of the starting locations spread through the city. They should be at the starting location before their shift starts and turn their app on while there. They will go and do the orders that get assigned and by the end of the shift they can go home and turn their app off.
Are there any other benefits with working at JET besides salary/bonusses?
We have a deal with a bike repair/equipment store where couriers got 10 to 20% discount on services and gear. We use a platform called Tradler, where couriers get points and they can trade those points for various prizes. Sometimes there are giveaways based on their performance and the prizes can include flights and tickets to football games as we are an official sponsor of UEFA.
What about travel allowance at JET?
You get travel allowance only if you use your own bike. It’s €0.10 per km you cycle while working. For using an ebike you get € 0.19 per km.
What is the application process like at JET through 365Werk?
Once you apply to our job opening, you will be called or emailed within 1 business day for a call appointment. During the call, we will discuss the job and requirements. If it is a good match, the registration process will start. We will then set up a contract and then try to schedule a first shift for you as soon as possible!
